Krafftt Land is operated by Krafftt, a division of lsie. This page describes what we collect and why. It is written to match what the software actually does.
What we store
If you create an account
Your name and email address, and your password stored only as a bcrypt hash — we cannot read it, and nobody here can tell you what your password is.
Pins you save
The coordinates, parcel size, any label you give it, and the valuation at the moment you saved it, so we can show you how the figure has moved since. A saved pin reveals land you are interested in. We treat it as private to your account: another signed-in user requesting your pin receives a “not found” response, not a refusal, so its existence is not disclosed either.
Listings you post
Location, size, asking price, your description, and the contact details you enter. Listings are public so buyers can find them, but contact details are withheld from signed-out visitors so the market cannot be scraped for phone numbers. Withdrawing a listing removes those details from public view, including from watchlists where someone had already saved it.
Payments
Card payments, when enabled, are handled entirely by Paystack. We store only their transaction reference and your subscription status. Your card details never reach our servers.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage for three things:
- Your sign-in token
- Kept in local storage so you stay signed in. Required for the site to work at all; signing out removes it.
- Your answer to the analytics prompt
- So we do not ask again on every page.
- Google Analytics — only if you accept
- Page views, referrers, and rough location by country. The analytics code is not downloaded at all until you accept, so declining means no request is ever made.
We never send the coordinates you look up, the pins you save, or any listing’s contact details to Google or any other third party. What land a person is researching is the sensitive part of this product, and it stays on our own infrastructure.
Your choice
You can change your analytics answer at any time. Declining does not reduce anything the site does.
Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
What we do not do
- We do not show advertising anywhere on this site.
- We do not sell or share your data with data brokers.
- We do not use the land you research to target anything at you.
